WELCOME TO THE UERIGE

Since 1862, the top-fermenting house brewery UERIGE has been brewing excellent beers right in the heart of Düsseldorf’s old city centre, the Altstadt. It goes without saying that these beers are brewed according to the ‘Reinheitsgebot’, the Purity Law dating back to 1516. Your tour of the Altstadt is not complete if you miss out on visiting the UERIGE.

Made of the finest natural ingredients, our ALT beer is regularly voted among Germany’s best beers, and our WEIZENBIER, wheat beer, also has a lot of fans. Twice a year, in January and October, the legendary STICKE, a strong beer with an alcohol content of 6% abv (alcohol by volume), is served on one special day only.

Of course, alongside our excellent beers, the UERIGE also has the matching hearty nibbles on offer as well as specials of the day that vary according to the season of the year. Every Saturday, our famous pea soup is served. Haxen (knuckles of pork) should be ordered in advance.
